Vision for the Store

Hello and welcome! And thanks for checking in on us. We are working hard to open so we can welcome you into our cafe and market.

Once we’re up and running, you can expect to find a locally sourced, seasonally informed cafe menu featuring delicious breakfast items, creative salads, and sandwiches, and ready-to-(h)eat takeaway meals and snacks from our grab-and-go cooler.

Our market area will offer basic provisions and some seasonal and specialty items. We will also have a small, well-curated selection of gifts made by local artists and artisans.

As I learn more about the community and its interests and needs, I look forward to nurturing community experiences coupled with amazing meals at the store. I will approach managing the Store with a beginner’s mind: learning as we build while striving to take all of the careful steps necessary to ensure a long, happy, and prosperous new chapter of the Store at Five Corners.

Before all of this can happen, there is a great deal of work still to complete.

Thanks to the dedication of the Store at Five Corners Stewardship Association and your support, we are readying the physical space: addressing structural issues, painting, cleaning, and finalizing where everything is going to go. At the same time, I am working on the prerequisites to opening for business, from financing to licensing.

We welcome feedback from everyone and encourage you to share your thoughts so we can begin to establish a rapport.

Please keep up-to-date and informed with our progress, so you can help us countdown to opening day. I’ll be sharing weekly updates, which I invite you to follow. Summer is coming quickly and we are taking the steps to get all the pieces in place so that we can open the doors as soon as we are stocked, compliant, and able!

Thank you for your continued support and words of encouragement. We couldn’t do this without your help!
